Guadalupe Hardware Company is a 3rd generation family-owned business servicing the agricultural community and the everyday handyman for nearly 70 years. In 1951, Leroy Macdonald started working at Farmer’s Hardware which would later become Guadalupe Hardware Co. when Leroy purchased the store from the Bassi Family in 1954. After 37 years of operation Steve, Leroy’s eldest son and Rhonda Macdonald purchased the store in 1991 to continue the family tradition. In 2013, Steve and Rhonda’s son Tim joined into the family business as a co-owner after working in the family business for over 20 years.
During the early years, the hardware store supported the local homeowners and contractors, but later Tim helped shift more focus to our thriving Agriculture Community adding tractor supplies, ag industrial parts, safety PPE, and agricultural implements to inventory. Our staff, including long-time local employees Brian and Albert, have been with us for a little over 20 years. Our employees are everything to us.
We continue to be thankful for this community and strive to offer the best customer service. We are an anomaly among hardware stores, one of a kind really.
